Cancer-Free

"Behold, I make all things new." (Revelations 21:5)

My last blog ended at the beginning of the new liturgical year. It truly felt like we were turning a new leaf. Our Advent Season continued with much hope and anticipation for Christ's grace for the rest of our lives.

Our Christmas Season was celebrated with much love and joy - God's Kingdom is truly at hand!

Then on February 5, 2018, the much anticipated news came...

Indeed, God is good... all the time!

I never had a doubt that Edison's treatment worked. It was, after all, the most aggressive treatment any oncologist could have prescribed for a cancer patient with Edison's profile. On top of that, we had our full trust in our Divine Physician. But hearing the great news from the oncologist definitely sealed the deal!

But perhaps, the most moving of all is my husband's conversion - a complete turnaround of his heart. It really has been one heck of a battle: Edison went through such an extreme physical, mental, and spiritual struggle. And through Him, with Him, and in Him, who makes all things new, Edison indeed has emerged anew!

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for never giving up on any of us. Thank You for the gift of family and friends, sure signs of Your Kingdom here and now. Amen.
